Casentino tour

An unusual and curious tour in Casentino Valley an area between Florence and Arezzo. A side of Tuscany that maybe you wouldn't live and experience without Lorenzo.

The day starts from Florence city center at 8,30 in the morning. On the way to the valley seams really necessary a stop to a bakery for an after breakfast break with "schiacciata", a delicious type of bread with olive oil and salt on top (I love it!!)

The tour, made with a 6 seats Van brings you to the Castle of Poppi. The castle is a magnificent medieval monument dated 1191 that rise on a hill. But seams not easy to arrive as many stops are programmed along the way.

You will have the incredible chance to stop first to admire a beautiful 15th century stone watermill that has been carefully renovated and restored to bring it back to it's original style and former glory and still producing flour then at a ceramic shop with high-quality hand-painted crafts and a then a little nice shop with fresh spices.
