What you loved about ROSA | Santa Croce
Our stay in Diana’s apartment was wonderful. We took a road trip throughout Europe and Diana’s apartment was one of the most unique and charming places we stayed. It has an interesting history and it surpassed our expectations. There is plenty of room for a large group traveling together, two very clean and updated bathrooms, and a lovely veranda that we enjoyed eating breakfast one in the mornings made from food purchased at the local outdoor market nearby the apartment. The location was perfect and was easily within walking distance to every important landmark. Diana herself was a standout host. Not only do they provide you with a simplified map of Florence, put together by Diana and her staff with attractions marked out, but she also went above and beyond to help us with our parking situation. We drove a 9-person van into Florence, which was a nightmare (nightmare is an understatement) to find parking for until Diana stepped in. She walked with us from the apartment to where we had parked the car and drove with us to a parking lot where she made us a reservation for our over-sized vehicle just to help save us from an expensive ticket and expensive parking fees. We had a great trip to Florence and we highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is considering it!
This amazing apartment has been in Diana’s family for 500 years! Great space with stylish rooms that feel like a film set location! Great rooftop terrace with a view of Santa Croche over the rooftops . Very central location, 10 mins walk to the Duomo. Diana was very helpful and attentive throughout. Close to lots of bars for breakfast, lunch or more importantly evening apertivo.
Diana is a very nice host, super helpful and hospitable. The apartment itself is very authentic, how florentine homes should be. It’s also very spacious and suitable for family holidays. We enjoyed staying there , and hope to come back again. We also had a baby with us and it was very comfortable throughout for all the family !
Diana is a great hostess willing to help make your stay wonderful. The apartment is this historical building is a true gem, with its nooks and crannies. The decor and furniture takes us back in time. The location was great and we walked everywhere. Two bedrooms are quite large for Europe, with one big enough for 4 beds comfortably. The smaller third bedroom was our “Harry Potter” room. Unfortunately, we hit a major heat wave during our stay and it was too hot to sleep there. However, Diana kindly supplied 2 portable air con units which worked great for us. After sunset we had dinners on the outside patio and it was beautiful to see the tall parts of St. Croce light up at night. Diana has a custom built map with all of her recommendation, which we found very useful.
super nice place
Diana, is a wonderful hostess. She responded quickly to inquiries. Check in was very smooth. Her place is super nice and the terrace is the place we used the most, wonderful outdoor space and beautifully decorated with lots of plants and flowers. The cats were a great plus, our whole crew enjoyed having them visit. Will recommend this place to family and friends.
Quite an amazing place!
Quite an amazing place! We had five adults and a pre-teen and the accommodations were just excellent, clean, comfortable. Cool terrace, very unique courtyard, you must see it. Diana our host was sincere, kind, understanding, most accommodating , and helped us at every turn. Her Acacia loose leaf binder is full of information and suggestions that we all read and used. The location must be the best. San Croce is a must see, the piazza is great, and the Duomo, Academia, Uffizi, and Ponte Vecchio are short walks away. Ciao Diana, hope to see you again!

The apartment is part of a beautiful old family palazzo. It is very spacious, stylish and very conveniently located. (1/2 block from Santa Croce) It is equipped with everything you might need including an international guest cell phone. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens. The flower filled terrace is even more charming than in the photo-a great place for breakfast or a cocktail. Diane lives and works on the same floor so it is very easy to get advice and help. The 4 of us had a wonderful 5 days at Diane’s apartment.
A "must stay" place in Florence!
A "must stay" place in Florence! The flat takes you back in time and you can actually visualize like it must have been - but with all the modern conveniences. Awesome location and the hostess Diana was top notch! Very helpful and very good at communications and responsiveness!
Awesome space! time-travel back to 16th century while still having all modern conveniences. a "must stay" place!
Lovely apartment. Great location within walking distance of everything in the city, including the Duomo, Uffizi, and many churches. It's located minutes from many restaurants and eateries as well. The apartment itself is very charming with a lovely patio. Great space to stay in and hang out. There's even a cat that roams the courtyard of the building who likes to welcome you home. The staff were also so accommodating. They gave so many recommendations for things to do not only around the city but around the entire Tuscany area. Would definitely stay with the company again. Great experience.
Everything is perfect!
We stayed at Diana's place for three nights. This apartment is amazing, the decoration, the cleanness, the location, etc. everything is perfect. Diana prepared every single detail that we would need. Even though there is no elevator, the stairs are very wide and not difficult to climb at all. There are two 85 year old grandparents in our group. They have no trouble to climb the stairs. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Florence.
Wonderful authentic apartment
Wonderful authentic Florentine apartment; you feel like you are staying at your Italian Grandmother's flat (in a good way!). Wonderful quirky space with rooftop terrace, and beautiful antiques filled living spaces. A warm and homey space to retreat from the bustle of Florence. Wonderful central location, and very helpful owner who has a free i phone loaded with great ideas and cell/internet access. Thank you Diana!
Cats, brilliant rooftop balcony and quirky historic features
Diana's place makes sure you continue the experience of being in Florence. It seeps with historic quirkiness that you need to see and feel to understand. Those tight streets and beautiful corner awnings are part of the feel you get inside. Diana's place has more space than we could utilise but we did appreciate it. Also, for the cat lovers within the Air BnB community you may be frequented by one of Diana's gorgeous cats. One unusual aspect of the place is that Diana has three sets of doors to access the apartment. You have the huge double door to the street, then 62 steps to a door into a shared corridor that has a further door into the apartment. That shared corridor has two offices Diana has for her businesses. I believe this is a good aspect of the apartment as Diana and her team are happy to help. Once you are established, you feel completely independent and comfortable to enjoy the apartment including the brilliant rooftop balcony and quirky historic features.
This place is amazing.
This place is amazing. I’ve used Airbnb 8 times this year, 2018, and this has been the best place yet. The apartment is Huge! The apartment is furnished and decorated with antiques and feels like a very classic Italian apartment. The bedrooms are big, the terrazzo is large and has two different entrances. The host is close by and was very attentive to our needs. She even gave us some frozen asparagus for my grandmas feet that were swollen from walking around Florence all day. Diana and her team went way beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. It’s close to everything too. The train station is a 20 minute walk however everything else is about a 5 to 10 minute walk. You will not find a better place or host for your visit to Florence. Diana, we will be back
