Get lost in Duomo

A Must for Those Coming to Florence

What you love about Raperonzolo, Duomo

The location for this property was excellent!

Tariq / Mar, 2019

The location for this property was excellent! Pretty much within a ten minute walk from all the main galleries, churches and sights in central Florence. The south bank was also a very easy stroll away. The stairs to the apartment are a fair amount but if you don't have mobility issues you can get used to it quickly and it helps to burn off some of the great eating to be had in Florence. The apartment had windows all around and let in a good amount of light. When cold outside it was warm inside and when hot outside it was cool inside, that was nice. Check in and out was very smooth and flexible. Diana and the team were very accommodating. If you need, there is also a free mobile phone for local call use and with information on local events, etc. We felt that there were a couple of negatives though - The floor was terracotta tiling, which was great, but it wasn't very well cleaned, you could feel it if you walked around barefoot. Given it's such a walk up we could understand why whomever cleaned it might not have been totally enthusiastic, but it was not that great when lounging around. The bathroom could do with an upgrade, or a good clean, and the bathtub floor was curved which made it quite tricky to shower in with wet feet! Finally there was a bit of an ant issue in the kitchen and bathroom, but for such an old building this was understandable. All in all we felt that the pros outweighed the cons but it would be such a great place with just a little bit more TLC.

This apartment was the perfect "home"

Colette / Nov, 2018

This apartment was the perfect "home" for our time in Florence. It was comfortable and conveniently located! My favorite thing about it is the traditional styling...we wanted to make sure that even when inside, we knew we were in the heart of a beautiful Italian city, and this apartment did just that. It's located on a very well-kept street and in walking distance to everything in Florence. We appreciated the supply of movies on DVD, which provided for some relaxing evenings after active days in the city. It was also supplied with some essentials like coffee, espresso, sugar, toilet paper, etc. One minor issue is that on nice evenings, it would get loud with people/music echoing from the Piazza del Strozzi, but we found that closing the interior shutters in addition to the windows, helped a lot. We hope to visit again some day!!!”

Here again in a heartbeat

Allison / Jun, 2018

Thank you for everything! We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Diana was such an incredible host and attended to our every need. Her place was clean, neat, filled with every amenity and definitely a cozy, inviting space. We can't wait to stay here again during our next trip to Florence. Thank you for the incredible hospitality!”

Can't recommend enough

Bogdan / Jun, 2018

Diana greeted us for the check-in and helped with parking recommendations for the city center which was very helpful. Diana has also put together a guide for the city that helped with things like places to eat and things to see. The apartment itself is gorgeously decorated in tune with the historic vibe of the city. Everything was perfect and we loved that it's so close to Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. The only downside is the long flight of stairs but we've found it was worth it considering how nice the apartment is and how close to all the attractions it is. Can't recommend enough

We had such a lovely time here.

Chelsea, USA / Sep, 2017

We had such a lovely time here. The location is absolutely perfect- a 5-10 minute walk from everything you need to see in Florence. We also greatly appreciated the notebook filled with restaurant suggestions. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Florence!

It was magical

Hegel, USA / Aug, 2017

Stayed here for 31 days and it was magical. Florence is a walking city and the location of this place is on point. Diana and the team was helpful when it comes to pickup and checking out. They are very responsive to our needs regarding the apartment. The "handy phone" they provided during your travels is an amazing tool and really came in handy before we purchased a SIM card. This place worked out perfectly for us because we are young and all about exploring. The stairs to the apartment might post a problem since there are lots of them, especially with heavy luggages. But I'm sure if you contact the team they will figure something out for you. @abnb

Large space with a tuscan feel

Debbie, Canada / Jun, 2017

Large space with a tuscan feel, inviting home with air conditioning after long hot day of sight seeing. Central location, 10min walk from train station. Walking distance to tourist sites (duomo, uffizi gallery). Close to shopping and restaurants. The washing machine worked great - was so nice to have as we packed light for our 3 weeks in Europe. Loved drying our clothes outside for a true authentic experience! Kitchen equipped with everything you needed, although we didn't use it. Agree with other reviews, lots of stairs as described. We did not mind as it was expected and we didn't have any issues. An android phone was provided with the stay. Again, we didn't use it as we had our own phones but would be helpful for those needing phones for international calls, maps and directions, recommendations, etc. Great stay, smooth and easy check in process. Would definitely recommend! @abnb
