Florence old town centre is a "Limited Traffic Zone" and since Florence is a UNESCO Heritage Site, it makes sense to protect it in this way

If you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around to reach or park close to your apartment, pay attention to the road signs and telematic doors (they will show either green/red light from 7,30 am to 7,30pm) in order to avoid receiving HIGH fines and we suggest to contact us to book at least a night stay and obtain a temporary permit.

Our Garage partner is located in Corso Tintori 35 red - Santa Croce area in Florence.
Telephone number: +39 0552479749

From the motorway best Exit is FIRENZE SUD

On Gps I suggest indicating Biblioteca Nazionale - Lungarno Della Zecca Vecchia as GPS does not update and drives you to Duomo. Crazy!!

Upon arrival at Garage, they will note the vehicle's number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.

You can easily book online and have a price is €15 or €20 per day. You can then walk down the center in about 20 - 30 minutes

Leopolda - Porta a Prato

Another option is street parking which can be found along the Viale (avenues) surrounding the historical center of Florence. This usually means it’s about a 10-minute walk to arrive in the center and it can often be difficult to find a space. Always look for the BLUE spaces (white are for residents only, yellow for handicapped parking). Find a ticket machine, purchase your ticket and display it on your dashboard.
The cost can be up to 2€/hour.

What about Free Parking?
It is almost impossible nowadays to find free parking in Florence. For the best rate (about 7,50€/day) you can park in the town of Scandicci VILLA COSTANZA  - easy access from motorway A1 and get to Florence train station by tram (30 minutes ride, ticket costs 1,50/person).
